This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to anyone using the Managd Services. It exists to keep our network reliable, our customers safe, and our infrastructure compliant with applicable law. By using the Services you agree not to engage in any of the activities listed below, and to ensure your users and customers do not either.
1. Illegal content and activity
- Anything that is illegal under the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Union, or the jurisdiction in which the data is stored or accessed.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance, reported immediately.
- Content infringing intellectual property rights, including pirated software and media.
- Content that incites violence, terrorism, or hatred against protected groups.
- Sale or distribution of controlled substances, weapons, or other regulated goods without proper licensing.
2. Network abuse
- Unsolicited bulk email (spam), including marketing email sent without verifiable consent.
- Phishing, credential harvesting, malware hosting, command-and-control servers, or any form of fraud.
- Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or penetration testing of systems you do not own or for which you do not have explicit written authorisation.
- Denial-of-service attacks, traffic amplification, or any deliberate attempt to disrupt third parties.
- Operating open relays, open recursive DNS resolvers, or unsecured proxies.
- Crypto mining is permitted only on plans where it is explicitly allowed.
3. Resource abuse
- Circumventing plan limits, sharing accounts across organisations to evade fair-use, or running workloads that materially degrade shared infrastructure for other customers.
- Storing data unrelated to a running workload purely as cheap archival storage on compute plans.
4. Security
- You must keep your systems patched and your passwords and keys protected.
- Compromised servers must be remediated promptly when notified.
- You must not interfere with the security mechanisms of the Services or attempt to access accounts, data, or systems not your own.
5. Reporting abuse
To report abuse originating from a Managd IP address, email abuse@managd.net with the offending IP, timestamps (with timezone), and supporting logs. We respond to verified abuse reports within one business day.
6. Enforcement
Depending on severity, violations may result in a warning, temporary suspension, permanent termination, or — for activity posing immediate risk — immediate disconnection without notice. We cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP to address new abuse patterns. The latest version always applies.
